CEDAR for Pyramix

There are two reasons why CEDAR provides a powerful range of restoration tools to run on other manufacturers' products. Firstly, there are those processes that are not suitable for real-time processing, and for which the ability to load, store and analyse the audio is of great benefit. Secondly, there are those users for whom a single, integrated approach to restoration and mastering is most suitable.

CEDAR Retouch

CEDAR Retouch for Pyramix

The science of eliminating coughs, scuffs, page turns, creaky piano pedals, and even car horns

CEDAR Retouch is a huge leap forward in sound processing technology. Unlike conventional restoration tools, it allows you to define the temporal and spectral content of the sound you want to remove. This makes it possible to identify noises as varied as coughs, squeaky chairs, page turns, the creak of a piano pedal and even car horns.

Once identified, unwanted sounds are replaced seamlessly with audio that matches the surrounding signal. All other audio remains untouched.

Retouch is available for all models of Pyramix, operates at high sample rates, and offers 64-bit internal resolution.

In photography, "retouching" is the art of identifying and removing unwanted blemishes from a picture to produce a perfect image. CEDAR Retouch brings this concept into the audio world, allowing you to remove unwanted acoustic events from a signal.

When all else fails... Retouch gives you complete control.

CEDAR declick dla Pyramix

CEDAR declick for Pyramix

With both manual- and auto- declick capabilities, CEDAR declick for Pyramix performs at high speed without sacrificing CEDAR quality, and addresses the widest possible range of scratch and click removal problems.

auto declick allows the user to process part or all of an entire playlist as an off-line process. Remarkably, there is no need for user-controls, and the automatic process will cope with even the most severely damaged audio.

manual declick incorporates a new algorithm capable of restoring clicks and other problems - such as drop-outs and digital errors - of up to 2,000 samples duration. It is particularly suitable for repairing optical soundtracks, and ideal for restoring audio that suffers from problems for which standard declick algorithms are not optimised.

CEDAR decrackle for Pyramix doesn't only remove the tiny clicks, crackles and "grunge" from vintage discs and vinyl LPs... it removes many types of buzz, and can be extremely effective at reducing amplitude distortions.

With no parameters for you to worry about, CEDAR's adaptive algorithms will identify and remove all of these noises automatically, making it as applicable to film soundtrack restoration, audio forensics and broadcast as it is to traditional audio restoration jobs such as CD remastering.

CEDAR dethump for Pyramix

Thumps may last for many hundreds of milliseconds, so conventional declicking processes are unsuitable for restoring audio containing them. Furthermore, the spectral content of thumps will usually overlap the genuine signal, so simple filters cannot remove them without degrading the underlying signal.

Dethump uses the data in and around the damaged signal to build up a picture of what the low frequency data should have been had the thump not occurred. The process then replaces the thump with restored low frequency audio, leaving the undamaged high frequency data unaffected. This makes dethump the world's best tool for removing many of the previously intractible problems associated with optical soundtracks, as well as for restoring damaged cylinders and discs, and for cleaning modern recordings when, for example, microphones and stands are bumped.

Dethump utilises floating-point processing to ensure the highest possible sound quality throughout the system. Processing is very rapid, thus allowing near instant evaluation of the result.,

No other process can analyse and restore damaged signal of up to 100,000 samples duration.

CEDAR dehiss for Pyramix

CEDAR dehiss for Pyramix

CEDAR dehiss is a fully-featured package for cleaning up audio for post, CD and DVD mastering, soundtrack restoration, broadcast, and sound archives.

It is remarkably simple to use, but is nonetheless a powerful and effective package that allows you to:

With just three parameters to adjust, anyone can master dehiss in minutes. However, this is no cheap plug-in. Dehiss for Pyramix was created by the same team that developed the superior algorithms for CEDAR Cambridge™ and the CEDAR Duo™ dehisser. Their expertise ensures that users can obtain top-quality results with minimum fuss and maximum productivity.
